Public transportation and Moovit
Plan your route, check travel costs and travel with more confidence.
Public transportation in Israel can include buses, light rail and trains. Travel prices and monthly caps may change by area, type of transportation, distance and updates from the relevant authorities.
How to use Moovit safely
1. Download and set up the app
Install Moovit and check that the language, payment method and location are correct.
2. Plan before you leave
Search your destination and check the line, departure time and transfer points before leaving your accommodation.
3. Check the fare in the app
The travel cost may change by area, distance and type of transportation, such as bus, light rail or train.
4. Keep proof if there is a problem
If you think you were charged incorrectly or the trip did not work, keep screenshots and send them to your Phantom coordinator.
Moovit app
Download Moovit
Use the official app store links for iPhone or Android, then check that the app language, location and payment settings are correct.
Important points about travel costs
- Do not rely only on a price you heard from a friend. Costs may differ by area and transportation type.
- Monthly packages or caps may change from time to time.
- Train travel may have different conditions or pricing than buses and light rail.
- Check the app or an official source before long trips.

Before leaving home
Check 3 things before you travel
Check the route, the pickup point and the estimated arrival time. If you are not familiar with a new route, leave extra time and share your route or location with a friend or coordinator when needed.
