What to expect and how to start well on your first day.
What usually happens on your first day
- You report to your site contact and are introduced to the team.
- You receive a safety briefing for the site.
- You are shown where to find and how to use your personal protective equipment.
- You learn where the safe/protected areas and emergency exits are.
Simple things that help
- Arrive ready to work and wear your protective equipment.
- If you do not understand an instruction, ask before you act.
- Tell your contact immediately if you feel unsafe or unwell.
