Managing daily life in Israel
Simple guidance to help you live, work and ask for help with confidence.
Life in a new country includes many small things to learn. This guide summarizes everyday habits that help you manage money, travel and know whom to contact when you have a question.
3 habits that help every month
1. Keep emergency money aside
Set aside part of your salary for unexpected needs such as urgent travel, medicine, phone repairs or essential items.
2. Plan trips before you leave
Check the route, departure time and payment method before leaving your accommodation, especially when going somewhere new.
3. Ask when you are unsure
If you do not understand something about money, accommodation, work or documents, message your Phantom coordinator before deciding.

Emergency money
A small reserve can prevent a big problem
You do not need to save a large amount at once. Try to keep some money aside every month for unexpected situations such as transportation, phone needs, clothing or medicine.
When you ask for help
- Write your full name and work site every time.
- Explain the problem clearly, point by point.
- Send photos or documents when they are relevant.
- If there is danger or an emergency, call the emergency number first and then update Phantom as soon as possible.
Documents, accommodation and unusual requests
- Do not give your passport, bank card or personal documents to another person unless you are sure this is an official process.
- If someone asks you for money, documents or a signature and you are not sure why, contact Phantom before acting.
- Report missing or damaged accommodation items with photos, the apartment address and your room number.
- If the issue is urgent, such as electricity, water, safety or a locked room, explain that clearly in the first message.
