Leaving Israel and receiving your deposit

Follow these steps early so Phantom can submit your deposit request in time.

If you are ending your employment in Israel and leaving permanently, start the process early. Phantom can help you understand the process and assist if you need help purchasing a flight ticket.

The process, step by step

1. Buy your flight ticket

Choose a departure date that is at least seven days after you book the ticket.

2. Send the ticket to Phantom

Send Phantom your flight ticket at least seven days before your departure date.

3. Phantom submits the deposit request

Phantom submits your request to withdraw the deposit. After several days, we receive the deposit-withdrawal approval.

4. Collect the money at the airport

Take the withdrawal approval to the bank branch at Ben Gurion Airport. The bank pays your deposit in cash when you present the approval.

After you receive the deposit-withdrawal approval, present it at the Mizrahi-Tefahot bank branch at Ben Gurion Airport to receive your deposit in cash.

Before you leave

  • Make sure you have received the deposit-withdrawal approval before you travel to the airport.
  • You cannot receive the deposit at the airport without presenting the approval.
  • Withdrawing the deposit is final. After it is withdrawn, you cannot return to work in Israel.
